Claude Design is an Anthropic Labs product for producing polished visual work with Claude. It is built on Claude Opus 4.7 and has been available in research preview to Claude Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise subscribers. It suits teams who need decent-looking output without a designer in the loop for every draft.

What CG TECH can do with Claude Design
Where it helps, and where a designer still earns their fee.
Internal decks, process diagrams, summaries and first drafts are where this pays. Anything carrying your brand externally is not, and we will say so.
Left alone it will produce something generic. We set the house style, colours and rules up front so what comes out is closer to yours than to a default.
Anything customer-facing goes past a human, and preferably a designer. The value here is removing the boring 80 per cent, not replacing judgement.
It has been in research preview for Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise subscribers. Research preview means it can change, so we would not build a critical process on it yet.

What is Claude Design?

Is it a replacement for a designer?
No, and we would be cautious of anyone selling it that way. It is good at the routine visual work that clogs a design queue. Brand work, customer-facing campaigns and anything requiring judgement about how you are perceived still need a person.
What does research preview mean in practice?
It means the product can change, and features may be added or withdrawn. It is fine for internal work and experimentation. We would not build a business-critical process on top of it until it settles.
Which Claude plan do we need?
It has been available to Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise subscribers. For a business, Team or Enterprise is normally the relevant plan anyway, because of the administration and data handling that come with them.
Can it follow our brand guidelines?
It can be steered a long way towards them, and that is worth setting up properly once rather than re-explaining every time. Left with no direction it produces something generic.
What sort of documents does it suit?
Internal decks, process diagrams, service summaries, training material and first drafts of most things. In short, work where the current alternative is a plain document nobody enjoyed making.
Is our content used for training?
On the business plans, enterprise data is not used to train models. If that matters to your security team, the plan you are on is the thing to check first.
Can you help us set it up?
Yes, and it is a small engagement. The useful part is agreeing the artefacts, setting the style and writing down where the line sits between what ships without a designer and what does not.
