Technologies
Platform choice should follow the business problem
Tech agnostic, outcome led.
Most platform decisions get made before the problem is understood. We work the other way: define the outcome, then pick the tools that get you there with the least cost and risk.
Microsoft at the core, the right tools around it
Our core platformMicrosoft
The backbone of most of what we build. We design, secure and roll out the Microsoft stack so your team gets real value from the licences you already pay for.

OpenAI
Assistants, custom GPT workflows and secure process automation.

Anthropic

Ports Operator: AI Scheduling Agent
Microsoft Copilot
Staff extracted shipment scheduling data from email attachments and websites manually, so reporting ran late and sources never quite lined up.
We built an AI agent that reads the attachments and websites itself, files the data and flags changes to stakeholders.
Outcomes
- Schedules gathered automatically
- One source of truth
- Changes flagged as they happen
Retirement Living Operator
Microsoft Fabric
Their reporting was manual and split across separate apps, each with its own licence.
We built one Microsoft Fabric platform, modelled the data and set up Power BI, with training to extend it.
Outcomes
- One platform, many sources
- Clean, reliable data
- Team trained to build on it
Regional Council
Power Platform
Power Platform and Microsoft 365 had grown across seven environments with little governance.
We reviewed the whole setup and supported the changes to tighten security and control.
Outcomes
- Governance across 7 environments
- 1,400 monthly runs under control
- 200+ app launches a month
Outside School Hours Care Provider: Voice AI Agent
Copilot Studio
Directors spent much of each day answering policy calls from centre managers, covering everything from incident reporting to child safety rules. Answers varied between people, and many frontline staff speak English as a second language.
We built a voice-enabled AI agent, grounded only in the client’s policies, that answers first so Directors do not have to.
Outcomes
- Directors freed from routine calls
- Consistent answers every time
- Inclusive for bilingual staff
Aged Care Provider
Copilot Studio
Staff used an AI agent to find policies and forms, but answers were slow and inconsistent.
We rebuilt it in Copilot Studio with stronger grounding, clearer prompts and multilingual support.
Outcomes
- Faster, more consistent answers
- Grounded in approved content
- Multilingual access for staff
Community Transport Provider
Copilot Studio
The client matched volunteers to clients by hand, which was slow to scale.
We built a proof of concept agent in Copilot Studio that suggests ranked matches with clear reasons.
Outcomes
- Faster, fairer matching
- A clear reason for each match
- Built to scale safely
Ports Operator
Microsoft Copilot
They wanted to roll out Microsoft Copilot safely across the business.
We ran a readiness assessment and a pilot across legal, HR and IT, with governance, security and training built in.
Outcomes
- Copilot scaled with confidence
- Use cases proven across teams
- Governance and training in place
Building Services Contractor
Microsoft Fabric
The client wanted to try Microsoft Fabric before a wider rollout.
We stood up a pilot with OneLake, daily data pipelines and a curated Power BI report on their key data.
Outcomes
- Early wins on key datasets
- A reusable base to grow on
- Stronger in-house data skills
State Ombudsman
Fabric + Purview
The client was moving data off old on-premises systems and needed it governed.
We set up a Microsoft Fabric workspace and a plan for Purview, aligned to state rules.
Outcomes
- Cloud-ready data platform
- Retention and security covered
- Aligned to state rules
Electricity Transmission Operator
SharePoint + Power Automate
The client was moving its Objective records system to the cloud, but files kept falling out of sync with SharePoint, which put compliance at risk.
We built a Power Automate integration that keeps files up to date between Objective and SharePoint Online, in line with their cybersecurity rules.
Outcomes
- Less manual document handling
- Files kept current in SharePoint
- Stronger data protection and compliance
Children’s Services Group
Power BI
Building each marketing list by hand was so slow the data was out of date before a campaign went out.
We linked their Power BI data to Mailchimp so the lists now update on their own.
Outcomes
- Campaign prep cut by 95%
- From days down to minutes
- Staff run their own reports
Life Insurer
Power BI
The client needed clear reporting across agent performance, claims, sales and profitability, but manual work held it back.
We built a set of Power BI reports across the business.
Outcomes
- Reporting across the business
- Trends tracked over time
- Faster, better decisions
Pharmaceutical Company
Power BI
The client’s Power BI reports needed more speed, clearer visuals and a shared home so teams could work from the same numbers.
We rebuilt the reports in a shared workspace, tuned them for speed and redesigned the visuals for both leaders and analysts.
Outcomes
- Faster, easier-to-read dashboards
- One shared source for reporting
- Clearer insight for decisions
City Council
Nintex + SharePoint
The property acquisition process was slow and complex, with delays and inaccuracies at each hand-off.
We mapped the process end to end, then automated it with Promapp, Nintex and SharePoint Online.
Outcomes
- Acquisitions move faster
- Fewer errors
- Progress visible in real time

We help you choose the right stack for the work, then govern and deliver it properly.
Common questions about the platforms we use
What does CG TECH mean by technologies?
These are the platforms we build on: Microsoft, OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, open source, and the specialist tools around them. Each page explains what a product does, where it fits, and where it does not.
Are you tied to one technology vendor?
No. We are a Microsoft Solutions Partner with deep Microsoft skills, and we are genuinely technology-agnostic across OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity and open-source. We pick what fits the work, your budget and your data rules.
How do you decide which platform to use?
We weigh four things: the quality the task needs, the cost to run it at scale, where the data is allowed to live, and how it fits what you already have. The answer is often a mix, joined up safely.
Can you run AI on our own infrastructure?
Yes. When data residency or cost calls for it, we run open models on infrastructure you control rather than sending data to a public service.
Where should we start if we are new to all this?
With a problem, not a product. Pick one task that is slow, repetitive or error prone, and we will tell you which of these tools fits it and what it would take. Starting from the product is how businesses end up with licences nobody uses.
What size organisation do you work with?
Our sweet spot is 50 to 500 seats. Large enough for this work to be worth doing properly, small enough to see a result within a quarter.
Do we need every tool listed here?
No. Most businesses use a small number of them well. These pages are here so you can see what each one does before deciding, not as a shopping list.
How do you keep up as these products change?
We use them ourselves, in our own business, before we recommend them. When something changes materially we update these pages, and we tell the clients it affects.
