Scheduling data arrived as email attachments and web pages, and someone had to extract it manually before anything could be reported on. That introduced delay between a schedule changing and anyone knowing, and it left the sources disconnected, so there was no single reliable view of what was moving when.
What we did
- Built an agent to do the extraction. Reading shipment scheduling data from email attachments and websites.
- Used AI to interpret the documents. Analysing PDFs and web data to identify the scheduling details that matter.
- Stored the history. Records kept in a SharePoint list so trends are visible, not just the current state.
- Automated the record updates. Upserts into SharePoint and Azure SQL, so the data stays current without intervention.
- Notified the right people. Stakeholders alerted automatically when a shipment change is detected.
