This client is a government-owned corporation that owns and operates a high-voltage electricity transmission network.
The challenge
The client was moving its Objective records system to the cloud, but files kept falling out of sync with SharePoint, which put compliance at risk.
What we did
We built a Power Automate integration that keeps files up to date between Objective and SharePoint Online, in line with their cybersecurity rules.
Records slipped out of sync across two systems, and every gap was a compliance risk. We built the integration and hardened it.
Why it mattered
Moving from on-premises Objective to Objective SaaS while running SharePoint Online alongside it meant two platforms holding versions of the same documents. Synchronisation was inefficient, which is an operational nuisance and a compliance problem: for an electricity transmission operator, records that disagree are records that cannot be relied on, and cybersecurity requirements do not bend.
What we did
- Analysed requirements and planned the integration. Before building anything.
- Proved it first. A proof of concept Power Automate flow synchronising files between Objective SaaS and SharePoint Online.
- Designed the workflows. Custom logic to upload, replace and remove files against defined criteria.
- Aligned to their cybersecurity framework. Built to their standards rather than retrofitted to them.
- Tested end to end. Validation before production deployment, with support afterwards.
