This client is a global pharmaceutical company that develops, manufactures and supplies prescription and over-the-counter medicines, with a strong presence in Australia and New Zealand.
The challenge
The client’s Power BI reports needed more speed, clearer visuals and a shared home so teams could work from the same numbers.
What we did
We rebuilt the reports in a shared workspace, tuned them for speed and redesigned the visuals for both leaders and analysts.
Slow reports and scattered sources meant teams argued over which numbers were right. We rebuilt the reporting and moved the data somewhere shared.
Why it mattered
Reports need to serve two audiences at once: executives who want the position at a glance, and analysts who need to drill into why. The existing dashboards did neither well, and with data sources sitting outside a shared environment, collaboration was awkward and security was harder than it needed to be.
What we did
- Reviewed the dashboards properly. A full review with recommendations rather than surface fixes.
- Moved reports to a shared environment. Excel sources reconnected so the data lives somewhere the team can work on together.
- Tuned the performance. Data connections, dataset structure, measures and relationships all optimised.
- Rebuilt the visuals. Clear and readable for executive review, with the detail still reachable underneath.
- Refined after testing. Post-UAT changes based on what stakeholders actually said.
- Left a roadmap. Further visual enhancements and drill-throughs mapped out for the next phase.
The difference it made
- Faster reports that people are willing to open.
- One shared environment, so collaboration and security both improve.
- Visuals that support a decision rather than requiring interpretation.
- Better insight through normalised scoring and drill-throughs.

Microsoft Fabric
Their reporting was manual and split across separate apps, each with its own licence.
We built one Microsoft Fabric platform, modelled the data and set up Power BI, with training to extend it.
Outcomes

- Clean, reliable data
- Team trained to build on it
Queensland Government Department: Data Governance
Microsoft Purview
The department needed to move document management and collaboration to SharePoint Online while meeting its governance and compliance obligations, and plan a clean migration off file shares.
We assessed their governance position, deployed Microsoft Purview, proved the design in their own tenant and handed over a costed roadmap.
Outcomes
- Retention that runs itself
- Sensitive data protected
- Audits without the scramble
Junior Adventures Group
Power BI
Building each marketing list by hand was so slow the data was out of date before a campaign went out.
We linked their Power BI data to Mailchimp so the lists now update on their own.
Outcomes
- Campaign prep cut by 95%
- From days down to minutes
- Staff run their own reports
