Teams
Where your people and your agents meet.
Teams is where the conversations, meetings and decisions happen, and it is becoming the front door for AI at work: Copilot Chat now runs across chats, channels, calling and meetings, and agents join Teams like colleagues. We make Teams calm, governed and genuinely useful.

In plain terms
Teams can be the calmest place you work, or the noisiest.
The difference is design, governance and habits. Here is what changes.
Without the work
- Hundreds of teams, half with no owner
- Meetings that produce recordings nobody watches
- Guest access granted once, reviewed never
- AI features switched on with no plan or training
With the work
- A team structure that mirrors how work actually flows
- Meetings with recaps, actions and accountability
- External access governed and reviewed
- Copilot and agents rolled out with intent
What CG TECH can do with Teams
The work, broken into the parts that matter.
Let the meeting take its own notes
Copilot recaps, action items and now video recaps mean decisions and follow ups survive the meeting. We set up the features and build the habits.
decisions that leave the room
AI where the conversation already is
Copilot Chat now works across chats, channels, calling and meetings, and agents, including SharePoint agents, can be added straight into a chat. We plan which agents join which conversations, governed through Agent 365.
AI in the flow of work, under control
The phone system and the stage
Teams Phone replaces the PBX, and town halls replace the retired Live Events platform, which shut down on 30 June 2026. If you still run legacy events, migration is now urgent rather than optional.
calling and events on a supported platform
Calm is a policy outcome
Team creation rules, ownership, guest access reviews and lifecycle policies that archive the dead wood. Sprawl is what happens by default; calm is designed.

Questions we hear a lot
Common questions about Teams
What is Microsoft Teams?
Teams is where conversations, meetings, calls and decisions happen inside Microsoft 365. It is also becoming the front door for AI at work: Copilot Chat runs across chats, channels, calling and meetings, and agents can be added to a team the way a colleague would be.
Are meeting recaps and recordings a privacy problem?
They are a policy question. We configure who can record, where recaps flow and how long they are retained, aligned to your obligations, so the answer is deliberate rather than accidental.
We still use Teams Live Events. What now?
It retired on 30 June 2026, with previously scheduled events running only until February 2027. Town halls are the replacement, and we run that migration as a priority piece of work.
Do agents in Teams need extra licences?
It depends on the agent. Some capabilities ride on Microsoft 365 Copilot licensing, and others are metered by consumption. We map the licensing before anything is switched on.
How do we fix teams sprawl without breaking anything?
Ownership first, then lifecycle policies that archive inactive teams, then creation rules so the sprawl does not regrow. Nothing is deleted without an owner signing off.
What is Teams sprawl and why does it matter?
It is what happens when anyone can create a team and nobody ever closes one. You end up with hundreds of half-used teams, duplicated files and no idea which is current. It matters more now, because Copilot reads all of it and cannot tell the dead ones from the live ones.
How do we tidy it up without upsetting people?
Slowly and visibly. We work out what is genuinely inactive, archive rather than delete, tell people before it happens and give them a way to object. The technical part is easy. Not blindsiding anybody is the part that takes planning.
What does it mean to add an agent to Teams?
An agent can sit in a channel and answer from approved content, or take an action when asked. The useful version is narrow: one job, one clear owner, an obvious way to tell it is not a person. The unhelpful version is a general assistant nobody trusts.
