Claude Team

Claude for the whole team, on one governed bill.

Claude Team gives a team of five or more a shared, administered workspace, with business data excluded from model training by default and Claude Code and Cowork included on every seat. It is the step up from staff paying for personal accounts. We set it up properly and build the habits that make it pay.

In plain terms

The team already uses Claude. The question is on whose account.

Team moves work off personal logins and into a workspace you control. Here is what changes.

Without it

  • Work happening on personal accounts you cannot see
  • Prompts, projects and history lost when people leave
  • Every person paying separately with no oversight
  • Nobody able to say what AI is doing for the business

With it

  • A shared workspace with admin controls and one bill
  • Shared projects the whole team builds on
  • Business data excluded from training by default
  • A clear picture of use, cost and value

Questions we hear a lot

Common questions about Claude Team

What is Claude Team?

Claude Team gives a group of five or more a shared, administered workspace, with business data excluded from model training by default and Claude Code and Cowork included on every seat. It is the step up from staff paying for personal accounts on their own cards.

Why not just keep using personal Claude accounts for work?

Because the business has no visibility, no controls and no continuity when people leave. Team fixes all three, and business data is excluded from training by default.

How many seats do we need to start?

Five. The plan runs from five to 150 seats, so a small team can start properly governed without an enterprise procurement cycle.

What is the difference between Standard and Premium seats?

Usage. Every seat includes Claude, Claude Code and Cowork; Premium seats simply carry roughly five times the capacity for heavy users. You can mix both in one plan and change the mix as you learn.

What do we give up compared with Enterprise?

Mainly SCIM provisioning, audit logs, the Compliance API, custom retention and the larger context window. For many teams none of those bite yet, and we tell you honestly when they will.

What do we get on every seat?

Claude for everyday work, plus Claude Code and Cowork. That last part matters, because the agentic capability is where the time actually goes back, and it is not an add-on you buy separately.

How do we get people to actually use it?

Show them three jobs their own role does every week, not a features tour. Adoption comes from someone watching their own work get faster. Businesses that run a general training session and hope tend to see usage fall away within a month.

What happens when someone leaves?

On a Team workspace an administrator removes the seat and the shared work stays. With personal accounts, the history and the projects walk out of the building with the person, which is one of the better reasons to move off them.
