Questions we hear a lot
Common questions about Copilot Cowork costs
What is Microsoft Copilot Cowork?
It is an AI co-worker inside Microsoft 365. You give it a job in plain English, like preparing a client briefing or pulling the key points from a long document, and it works away in the background across your email, files and apps, then hands back a finished result. It runs inside your business's Microsoft 365 tenant, so your data stays in your environment.
How is Copilot Cowork priced?
There are two parts. Each user needs a Microsoft 365 Copilot licence, and Cowork usage is then billed in credits, a bit like data on a mobile plan. Bigger jobs use more credits. The estimator explains both parts as you go and shows the assumptions behind every figure.
Is the estimate a quote?
No. It is a guide based on your inputs, Microsoft's usage benchmarks and Microsoft's standard Australian pricing, which can change. For a firm figure, book a strategy session and we will confirm the right licensing and likely usage for your team.
Why do you ask for a work email?
Your estimate appears on screen and a copy of the report is sent to your inbox, so we need a real address. We use your company domain to make any follow-up relevant, we do not share your details, and personal addresses like Gmail are not accepted.
What happens after I get my estimate?
The estimate is yours to keep, and there is no automatic follow-up sequence. If you want to go further, you can book a free strategy session with a CG TECH specialist to talk through licensing, rollout and governance.
Can CG TECH help us roll out Copilot Cowork?
Yes. CG TECH is a Microsoft Solutions Partner and we design, implement and embed Copilot for Australian businesses, safely and at a pace that suits your team. A strategy session is the easiest place to start.
How accurate is the estimate?
It is a planning figure worked out from your headcount and typical usage, not a quote. It is meant to tell you the order of magnitude before you take it any further.
What do you do with what I enter?
We keep your details and the estimate so we can email you the report and follow up if you ask us to. Our privacy policy explains how we handle it.
