GPT Image

Image generation that follows brand rules.

GPT Image is OpenAI’s image generation family, the replacement for DALL-E, which was removed from the API in May 2026. It renders text accurately, follows detailed instructions and supports step by step edits, in ChatGPT, through the API and as a tool inside agent workflows. We make it produce images your brand team will actually approve.

In plain terms

Stock photos say generic. Generated images can say you.

The gap between a toy and a tool is consistency and governance. Here is what changes.

Without the work

  • Staff generating images in random tools with no rules
  • Brand colours and style different in every asset
  • Nobody sure what the business is allowed to use commercially
  • Anything still built on DALL-E now sitting on a removed model

With the work

  • Generation guided by your brand kit and templates
  • A consistent style across campaigns and channels
  • A clear internal policy on rights, review and disclosure
  • Pipelines moved onto the current GPT Image models

Questions we hear a lot

Common questions about GPT Image

What is GPT Image?

GPT Image is OpenAI’s image generation family and the replacement for DALL-E, which was removed from the API in May 2026. It renders text inside images accurately, follows detailed instructions and supports step by step edits. It is available in ChatGPT, through the API, and as a tool inside agent workflows.

What happened to DALL-E?

OpenAI removed the DALL-E models from the API in May 2026. GPT Image is the successor family, and anything built on DALL-E needs migrating, which we handle.

Can we use generated images commercially?

OpenAI’s terms allow commercial use of images you create. The practical work is your internal policy: what gets reviewed, where you disclose, and which uses you avoid. We set that up with you.

How do we keep images on brand?

Style references, locked prompt templates and multi step edits, plus a lightweight review step. Consistency is a workflow outcome, not a lucky prompt.

Is it better than stock photography?

Different. Stock is fast and safe for generic scenes. Generation wins when you need your product, your palette or a concept stock does not sell. Most brands end up using both, deliberately.

What do businesses actually use it for?

Internal presentation visuals, diagrams, concept images, campaign drafts and placeholder artwork. The pattern is work that currently either waits on a designer or ends up as a poor stock photograph nobody likes.

Will it match our brand?

Closer than people expect if you set it up once with your colours, style and rules, and further off than you would like if you do not. It is a tool that rewards a bit of configuration at the start.

Should anything generated go out without review?

No. Someone should look at every image that leaves the business, for the same reason someone reads the copy. The saving is in the drafting, not in skipping the check.
