Chemical Manufacturer

This client operates a chemical manufacturing plant in Central Queensland, supplying the mining industry.

The challenge

Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online had been enabled but the team was not using them, and there was no governance around either.

What we did

We reviewed the setup, designed a best practice approach and set a phased roadmap for adoption.

Teams and SharePoint were switched on but sitting idle, with no rules behind them. We reviewed the tenancy and built an adoption roadmap.

Why it mattered

The tools had been enabled without governance or a plan for use, and the symptoms were visible: more than 500 orphan documents, six Teams with only a single channel, and six Teams inactive altogether. That pattern costs twice, because the licences are paid for while staff carry on working the old way, and the mess quietly grows.

What we did

  • Reviewed configuration and governance. Identifying the specific gaps rather than describing best practice in the abstract.
  • Set a best practice tenancy approach. Making proper use of the Microsoft 365 features they already licensed.
  • Built a phased adoption roadmap. High level and sequenced, so adoption follows a plan instead of hope.

The difference it made

  • Stronger governance, with compliance and efficiency improving together.
  • A clear and cost-effective path forward rather than an idle platform.
  • Communication and collaboration improved as staff actually adopt the tools.

  • Sensitive data protected
