Fiji Airports

Fiji Airports is the government-owned operator of Fiji's public airports, including Nadi and Nausori international airports, and manages air traffic services across Fijian airspace.

The challenge

Fiji Airports ran on paper-based, fragmented systems across finance, HR and assets.

What we did

We designed a staged digital transformation, with connected systems that capture data once for analytics and AI.

Paper and disconnected systems left leaders without a reliable, organisation-wide view. We designed the digital foundation for a ten-year strategy.

Why it mattered

Fiji Airports ran heavily manual, paper-based processes across finance, HR, asset management, project management and safety. Reporting and reconciliation consumed significant effort, which creates operational risk and leaves leadership without reliable organisation-wide data. With a ten-year strategy to become a regional aviation hub, the gap between where they were and what that ambition required was the real problem.

What we did

  • Ran discovery across the organisation. Stakeholder engagement and a current state assessment covering every affected function.
  • Designed the future state. Integrated platforms spanning finance, HR, asset and project management, safety systems and data governance.
  • Built the program in stages. A staged, enterprise-wide transformation rather than one large leap.
  • Put governance around the decisions. Business-led governance with stage-gates, so the program is steered by the business.
  • Designed for capture once. Data entered once into connected systems, giving traceability, automation and analytics readiness.

The difference it made

  • Transparency and auditability through integrated data and automated workflows.
  • Real-time visibility for leadership, supporting financial control and evidence-based decisions.
  • An operating model ready for analytics and AI as the strategy progresses.
  • Staff freed from reconciliation work for higher-value tasks.

Microsoft Copilot
