- Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online

This client is a Melbourne-based medical technology company developing an implantable hearing device for people with severe to profound hearing loss.
The challenge
The client had disjointed tools and no central governance.
What we did
We moved them from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 and built a SharePoint intranet, with governance and training.
Disconnected tools and no central control left the business hard to scale. We moved them onto Microsoft 365 and built the governance with it.
Why it mattered
A growing biotech had ended up with disjointed tools, limited collaboration and no central governance. On Google Workspace with no strategic documentation, every new hire made the gaps more expensive. For a medical device business, weak governance is also a compliance question, not just an efficiency one.
What we did
- Assessed the environment and documented the strategy. Licensing, governance and security captured properly.
- Planned and ran the migration. Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, including email, files and content.
- Implemented the platform. Exchange Online, Entra ID, SharePoint Online, Teams and cloud backup.
- Built an intranet. Global navigation, collaborative spaces and policies, branded to the company.
- Put governance frameworks in place. With staff training so the frameworks are followed rather than filed.
The difference it made
- Streamlined workflows with the redundancy between tools removed.
- Collaboration across departments in one environment.
- Governance that supports security and compliance obligations.
- An IT strategy that scales with the business rather than constraining it.
The results
What Medical Technology Company got
One connected workplace
Email, files and content moved from Google Workspace
Stronger security and governance
Clear rules for compliance and IT management
A modern intranet for staff
Global navigation, shared spaces and central policies
