Copilot Readiness Assessment

Get ready to get value from Microsoft Copilot.

Microsoft Copilot can save time, but only if your data and permissions are in order first. We check that you are ready and fix the gaps.

The problem

Why do Copilot rollouts disappoint?

Copilot reads your existing files and permissions. If those are messy or too open, results are poor or risky.

Check data, permissions and licences

We confirm your data, permissions and licences are ready before Copilot goes live.

Fix oversharing and access gaps

We tighten permissions so Copilot only surfaces what each person should see.

Plan a safe, useful rollout

A staged rollout aimed at where Copilot pays back, without the risk.

The impact

What a weak rollout costs you

The wasted licence spend is the easy number to see. The bigger cost is trust. When Copilot returns the wrong file or a poor answer early on, people decide it does not work and quietly stop using it. Oversharing that was always there becomes visible and turns into a security problem. And the time you hoped to save never arrives, because the foundations were never ready.

Licence spend with little to show for it

Copilot licences get paid for but sit unused because the ground was not prepared.

Early answers that break user trust

Poor first results, so staff quietly stop using it.

Oversharing exposed across the business

Copilot pulls up files people were never meant to reach.

How we help

We get the foundations right, then prove it on real work

We do not switch Copilot on and hope. We check that your data, permissions and licences are ready, then pilot it on the tasks your team actually does.

01

Assess readiness

We review your data, security posture and licensing, and find the gaps that would make Copilot results poor or risky.

02

Fix the foundations

We sort out oversharing, tighten access and tidy the content Copilot will read, so answers are safe and useful.

03

Pilot on real use cases

We pick a few high-value tasks with the teams that will use them, configure Copilot, and test it against real work.

04

Enable and scale

We train your people on their own use cases, track adoption, and set a roadmap to extend Copilot with confidence.

The result: a clear go-ahead to scale Copilot, with the security and adoption groundwork already done.

Customer Spotlight

How we did this for a major ports operator

A major ports operator wanted to lift operational efficiency with Microsoft 365 Copilot, and needed to scale it with confidence. We ran a Copilot Readiness Assessment across governance, security and licensing, found use cases with Legal, HR and IT, configured Copilot for each team, and ran tailored training so the pilot landed with real users.

The outcome

A confident path to scale Copilot across the business

Security and governance gaps mapped before any rollout

Department-specific training that drove real adoption

A roadmap of AI agent use cases for the next pilots

Trust and governance

Safe by design

AI is only useful if you can trust it. We build automation and agents you can stand behind in an internal review or in front of a regulator. We design for Australian data and privacy expectations, which matters most in government, health, education and financial services. Your data is never used to train public models.

Questions we hear a lot

Common questions about Copilot readiness

What is a Copilot readiness assessment?

It is a check of whether your Microsoft 365 environment is ready for Copilot before you roll it out. Copilot can save time, but only if your data and permissions are in order first. We check that you are ready and fix the gaps.

Why is our Copilot not giving good answers?

Almost always because the content and permissions behind it are messy. Copilot works best on clean, well-governed information. We fix that first.

Could Copilot expose sensitive files?

It follows your existing permissions, so if those are loose, it can surface the wrong files. We review and tighten access before rollout, which is the core of readiness.

How long does a readiness assessment take?

It is short and fixed-scope. We confirm the timeframe with you up front.

Can we turn Copilot on without doing this first?

You can, and plenty do. The risk is that Copilot surfaces content people were never meant to see, or gives poor answers because the underlying content is a mess. Both are harder to walk back than to prevent.

What usually turns up in an assessment?

The most common findings are over shared sites, permissions that were set years ago and never reviewed, and duplicate or out of date documents that Copilot treats as current.

Do we have to fix everything before we start?

No. We separate what must be fixed before rollout from what can be tidied later, so you are not held up by work that does not change the result.

Who from our team needs to be involved?

Whoever administers Microsoft 365, plus someone who can make decisions about who should see what. The technical checks are quick. The access decisions are the part that needs the business in the room.
