Common questions about working in your sector

What does CG TECH mean by industries?

These are the sectors we work in most, each with its own page. The work that pays back first looks different in each one, so we bring the same outcome-first model and shape it around your industry, your data and the rules you work under.

Which industries do you work with?

Local government, state and federal government, aged care, health care, education, engineering and construction, financial services, manufacturing, not-for-profit, professional services, aviation and transport, and child services. Each has its own page on this site.

What if our industry is not listed?

Talk to us anyway. The sectors here are where we have done the most work, not the limit of it. The problems underneath, approvals, reporting, documents and data, look much the same in most businesses.

Do you understand our sector, or just the technology?

Both matter, and the technology is the easier half. What makes these projects work is knowing which rules you operate under, what your busiest week looks like and where the evidence has to land. That is why we start by asking rather than presenting.

What size organisation do you work with?

Our sweet spot is 50 to 500 seats. Large enough for this work to be worth doing properly, small enough to see a result within a quarter.

Do you work with the public sector as well as business?

Yes, and a good share of our work is public sector: councils, state and federal agencies, and government funded providers. Those projects carry extra requirements around records, security and accountability, and we build to them.

Can you show us work you have done in our sector?

Yes. Each industry page carries real examples, and the success stories on this site set out the problem, what we built and what changed. Where a client has asked to stay unnamed, we describe them by sector instead.

Where should we start?

With your industry page, then the problem costing you most. If you would rather start from the problem than the sector, the Challenges pages are organised that way.
