Challenges

Timesheet and Overtime Reporting

See hours and overtime costs across teams in one place.

Timesheets often sit in different systems, so leaders cannot see overtime building up until the bill arrives. We bring the data together into one clear dashboard, so you can act before costs run away.

The problem

Why is overtime so hard to control?

Hours come from rosters, payroll and time clocks that do not talk to each other. By the time the numbers are added up, the overtime is already spent.

Bring timesheet data into one view

Hours from rosters and payroll pulled into a single view.

Spot overtime before it is paid

Overtime flagged early, while you can still act on it.

Give managers numbers they trust

Clear, current figures managers can rely on.

The impact

What poor timesheet visibility costs you

When you cannot see hours in time, money leaks. Overtime and casual costs run over budget. Managers make calls without the full picture. Finance spends days pulling numbers together by hand. And the same staff end up overworked because no one can see the load.

Overtime and casual costs over budget

Costs blow out because no one sees them until payday.

Decisions made without the full picture

Rostering calls made blind to the real hours.

Days lost building reports by hand

Staff waste days stitching timesheet reports together.

How we help

We bring the hours together and make them clear

We connect your timesheet sources into one place, then build a dashboard that shows hours, overtime and cost by team. Managers see it live, so they can act in the week, not the month after.

01

Connect the sources

We bring data from your rosters, time clocks and payroll into one place, even when the systems are different.

02

Model the hours

We model hours, overtime and cost in a clean, reliable way, so the numbers add up the same every time.

03

Build the dashboard

We build a Power BI dashboard that shows hours and overtime by team, site and pay type, in plain view.

04

Alert on the limits

We set alerts so managers hear about overtime as it builds, in time to make a different call.

The result: overtime you can see and manage in the week, not a surprise on the next pay run.

Customer Spotlight

How this works in practice

A services business with shift and casual staff could not see overtime until payroll closed each month. We brought the timesheet sources together, modelled the hours and built a live dashboard by team and site. Managers could finally see the cost building and act on it.

The outcome

One view of hours across teams

Overtime seen in the week, not the month

Less manual work at pay time

Clear numbers managers can act on

Trust and governance

Safe by design

AI is only useful if you can trust it. We build automation and agents you can stand behind in an internal review or in front of a regulator. We design for Australian data and privacy expectations, which matters most in government, health, education and financial services. Your data is never used to train public models.

Controls we build in

  • Identity controls
  • Least-privilege access
  • Clear data-handling rules
  • Audit logs
  • Human handoffs

Questions we hear a lot

Common questions about timesheet reporting

What does a timesheet dashboard show?

It brings hours, overtime and cost into one live view, broken down by team, site and pay type. Managers can see where overtime is building and act before the pay run, instead of finding out after.

Can it pull from more than one timesheet system?

Yes. Many businesses have hours spread across rosters, time clocks and payroll. We connect those sources into one place, even when they do not normally talk to each other.

Which tools do you use?

We usually build the dashboard in Power BI, with Power Automate moving the data and Dataverse or your existing systems holding it. It runs inside your Microsoft environment.

Will it work with our payroll system?

In most cases, yes. We connect to common payroll and rostering systems, and we can work with an export where a direct link is not available.

How quickly can we see results?

We usually have a first dashboard running in a few weeks, starting with the teams where overtime costs the most.

Who normally uses the dashboard?

Line managers and whoever owns the labour budget. Managers look at their own team, finance looks across the business, and both see the same numbers.

How current is the data?

That is a choice. Daily is enough for most businesses, but where overtime moves quickly we refresh more often. We set it to match how fast you can actually act.

Can it flag problems rather than wait to be checked?

Yes. Thresholds can trigger an alert, so a manager hears about unusual overtime while they can still do something about it.
