Offline Field Worker App

Capture work in remote areas, even with no signal.

Field workers often lose signal in the very places they need to capture work. We build apps that work offline, so staff can take photos and record notes anywhere, and the data syncs the moment they are back online.

The problem

Why does field data go missing?

When an app needs a connection to work, a dead spot means staff fall back to paper or memory. The data is captured late, if at all, and the detail is lost.

Capture work with no signal

Staff record work on site even with no signal.

Take photos and notes on site

Photos and notes captured in the field, on the spot.

Sync it all the moment you reconnect

Everything syncs automatically the moment they are back online.

The impact

What lost field data costs you

When field data does not make it back, the whole business feels it. Work is captured twice, once on paper and once at a desk. Records are thin, so billing and compliance suffer. Decisions are made on old data. And staff lose trust in a tool that fails them in the field.

Work captured twice, on paper then again at a desk

Field data written on paper, then re-keyed back at a desk.

Thin records that hurt billing and compliance

Patchy records that cost you on billing and compliance.

Decisions made on old or partial data

Calls made on stale data because the field is out of sync.

How we help

We build apps that work where the signal does not

We build field apps that store data on the device and sync on their own when a connection returns. Staff capture photos, notes and forms anywhere, with confidence the data is safe until it reaches the office.

01

Work offline first

We build the app to work with no connection, so staff can capture everything they need in remote areas.

02

Capture in full

Staff take photos, record notes and fill forms on site, with the location and time captured for them.

03

Sync on reconnect

The app syncs on its own the moment a connection returns, so nothing is rekeyed and nothing is lost.

04

Use the data

The captured data flows into your systems and dashboards, so the office works from current, complete records.

The result: field work captured once, anywhere, and back in your systems the moment there is signal.

Customer Spotlight

How this works in practice

Crews working in remote areas lost signal where they needed to capture work, so they fell back to paper and rekeyed it later. We built an app that worked offline, captured photos and notes on site, and synced on its own when the device was back online. The double handling stopped.

The outcome

Work captured anywhere, signal or not

Photos and notes saved on the device

Data synced the moment you reconnect

One record, captured once

Trust and governance

Safe by design

AI is only useful if you can trust it. We build automation and agents you can stand behind in an internal review or in front of a regulator. We design for Australian data and privacy expectations, which matters most in government, health, education and financial services. Your data is never used to train public models.

Controls we build in

  • Identity controls
  • Least-privilege access
  • Clear data-handling rules
  • Audit logs
  • Human handoffs

Questions we hear a lot

Common questions about offline field apps

What is an offline field worker app?

It is an app that keeps working when there is no signal. Field workers often lose coverage exactly where they need to capture work, so the app stores what they enter on the device and syncs the moment they reconnect.

How does an offline field app work?

The app stores everything on the device, so staff can capture photos, notes and forms with no connection. When the device is back online, the app sends the data on its own, so nothing is lost and nothing is keyed twice.

What happens to data captured with no signal?

It is saved safely on the device until a connection returns. The moment there is signal, the app syncs the data to your systems, with the location and time it was captured.

What can field workers capture?

Photos, notes, forms and readings, with the location and time recorded for them. We design the app around the work your staff do, so it stays quick and simple in the field.

Which devices does it run on?

It runs on the phones and tablets your staff already carry, on both Apple and Android, so there is no special hardware to buy.

What is it built on?

We build on the Microsoft Power Platform, so the data lands in your environment with proper controls and flows into the dashboards and systems you already use.

What if two people change the same record offline?

The app has to decide, and we agree that rule up front rather than leaving it to chance. Usually the later change wins and both versions are kept, so nothing is silently lost.

How long can it stay offline?

Long enough for a normal working day, or several, depending on how much is captured. We size that against how your crews actually work rather than a default.

Do workers have to remember to sync?

No. It syncs on its own as soon as there is a connection. Anything that depends on people remembering will eventually lose data.
